Modhupok is an editing, translation and publication house based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It offers a 360-degree repertoire of skills in bringing client content to a flawless final shape at a competitive timeframe and budget.

Established in 2015, Modhupok has a group of editors, publication specialists, translators and researchers having up-to-date knowledge and knowhow. Its members have extensive experience of serving a wide range of universities, research centres, journals, non-government organisations, publishing companies, and eminent writers and researchers in South Asia, Middle East as well as Europe. The company’s portfolio includes editing, design and printing of numerous books, graphic novels, journals and reports, among others.
Modhupok’s mission as a publisher is to find the shared ground that unites peoples and cultures together while celebrating difference and diversity in human expressions. It publishes new titles as well as freshly edited versions covering both fiction and non-fiction genres in both Bengali and English by the greatest of literary figures and popular writers of Bengal. It also commissions the translation of major literary works and supports editing and publication of uncollected writings of important literary and scientific figures.
Modhupok is a dialectal Bengali term for ‘honeybee’, an insect that plays a vital role to pollinate flowers beside the more familiar function of collecting and concentrating nectar to produce honey. In addition to projecting similar functions, our motto, ‘Bee Edited’, reflects our emphasis on and advocacy for rigorous, quality editing of manuscripts before publication.
